Carabaleener...

Self Portrait...one of my favorite pictures because it shows her true personality!
You know the saying, a picture is worth a thousand words? You probably will get both with this post! Pictures and a thousand words because I like to talk! Hahaha

Miss Care Bear is such a nut but so flippin cute I love her beyond words. I think the Lord gave me an extra dose of love for her so I can deal with her crazy antics. Here is a summary of her 2011 in pictures and a thousand words!

Care Bear was helping me make rice krispie treats. Every time I turned around, she would giggle and sneak a smellow. This face is her Dad's busted face to a T! Love it!!!

This little girl still has a hard time sleeping soundly at night. She will scream and cry out in her sleep on a regular basis. But thankfully, she is a dream to put to bed. Sometimes almost too easy because she will fall asleep before brushing teeth or getting jammies on. When she is tired, she does not fight it! One night she insisted on sleeping in her new "hairmuffs" as she called them. As long as she has her blanket Tinkie, she is ready for bed.

Care Bear is my little fashionista. She LOVES clothes and especially shoes. We have had to leave stores many a time with her kicking and screaming because I won't buy what she wants. One time she threw the mother of all tantrums for a shirt that was a size 14! She wanted it even if she wouldn't be able to wear it for 10 years! If it has glitter or sparkle, she is all over it. You might wonder why I included the picture of her in overalls. Not too bad and kind of cute. They are a size 18 month! I was cleaning out storage and she found them and insisted on wearing them to school. Sad thing is she is little enough, they fit pretty good. The other pic is her playing model while La-La took pictures. Silly girls!

This little one had a really hard time when Daddy moved south before we joined him. She didn't do too bad until I went on a short trip with my sisters and she stayed with church friends. After I returned, she would not leave my side. I guess in her little head she decided Daddy already deserted her then Mommy left too. Mom did come back but she won't ever be able to leave again! We had many wrestling matches to get ready for school because Care Bear decided she wasn't going and nobody could make her. Thankfully her teacher was understanding and would let me bring her rigid with anger and dressed in who know's what. I knew if I ever gave in, I would be hosed. I guess she would always calm right down at school but getting her there was a nightmare. Church was another hard one. She did not want to go to primary and like with school, I would have to hand her to her teacher screaming and then I would walk away. It was very hard and thankfully when we were back together as a family, this behavior ended! we made a picture book of her and Daddy that she could take everywhere so when she would feel sad, she would have a visual reminder of his love. It definitely helped!

A huge milestone for any 5 year old is losing the first tooth! Care Bear had to do it differently just like everything else! Instead of just getting a wiggly tooth and pulling it out, she grew shark teeth first! Ok, not really, but before she lost each of her bottom 4 baby teeth, the adult tooth came in behind the baby one, giving her rows of teeth! This made it harder to pull the tooth because the adult tooth didn't push it out the way it should. Right before she finished kindergarten and after having a wiggly tooth for MONTHS we decided it needed to come out! I pulled it out and thankfully within a matter of days the adult tooth moved forward where it belonged.

Care Bear got to celebrate her summer birthday at her teacher's house at an after school "Tea Party" She loved it and really loved her teacher Ms Sleeper.

My baby graduating from kindergarten! She is growing up way too fast!

Both girls loved playing in the stacks of boxes I made while packing up to move. Care Bear insisted she had found the perfect bed nestled in among the boxes.

Care Bear raided the fridge and decided this cabbage was much too cute to eat. She said it was her pet bat and even went as far as drawing a face on it. She was not very happy with me when I disposed of her pet.

This Monkey's biggest goal of 2011 was to master the monkey bars. After practice and more practice she did it! Even open blisters on her hand didn't deter the learning. By the start of 1st grade she had even learned how to skip bars. I love the pic of her swinging away in her swimsuit and cowboy boots. This was taken at a local splash park. The kids can play in water and on the playground! Best of both worlds but hard to keep them covered when they bounce between the park and the water.

This is Care Bear's BESTEST friend KW. We had to say good-bye to K when we moved but these cuties call and write notes to each other fairly regularly. The W family surprised Care Bear and showed up to visit on Care Bear's birthday! They had so much fun together!

Just like La-La, Care Bear loves to be outside. She goes golfing with daddy too. She got a skateboard for her birthday and is surprisingly pretty good at balancing on it.

Happy 6th Birthday! Notice the $2 on the table? Care Bear had a wiggly tooth that she would not pull out until the night before her birthday. She wanted to wake up to the Birthday Fairy's decorations and some cash from the Tooth Fairy. I didn't think she could wait to pull it out but she did! I should have known better with such a determined child.

1st Day of 1st grade!

This little monkey got herself stuck hanging from a door. Instead of helping her, I ran to get a camera to take a picture! Crazy Monkey!

Meet the cutest caterpillar in Southern Oregon! So cute, she took 2nd place in a costume contest in the downtown parade! A gold ticket and Sparky the dog were her prizes!

At the end of November, a strange phenonoman started at our house. Every time we turned around, we saw Care Bear's feet instead of her face. She became obsessed with somersaults and head stands! Her hair was always a mess after being rubbed over and over again in the carpet. One time she even did a somersault in Albertson's on the rug just inside the doors. I just kept walking and pretended I didn't see it!

We thought we had found the perfect Christmas tree. Care Bear tested it out by climbing it! She is so silly!

I love this blue eyed little girl with all my heart. She stole my heart when she was just one week old and looked right in my eyes and smiled at me. Ever since then, her blue eyes and toothy grin have melted my heart more than she will ever know!
