2. Before going to bed, make sure there are no sewing needles in your sheets. This will insure that you will not have to go the OR to have the needle removed from your foot.
3. If you are walking in tall weeds with a gun in it's holster, make sure the safety is on to avoid shooting your own foot. This will also make sure you can avoid a trip to the OR.
Justin had to take care of patients this week with all of the above injuries. He had to stay late last night to perform surgery on the gunshot victim. That was after going in early to do surgery on someone who drove an hour just to see Dr Johnson and seeing patients all afternoon in the clinic. He is staying plenty busy which is good because it keeps him out of trouble!
This is the x-ray of the gunshot foot before surgery. The white spots are all bullet fragments.
Justin had to put an external fixator on this foot to stabilize the shattered bone. So the poor guy has a bunch of pins sticking out of his foot now and faces more surgery. I think it would have been much easier to make sure the safety was on instead!

O.K. Ouch! That is awful! Can imagine how bad that must have hurt? Go Dr. Justin!Sorry about the bugs, did you ever get the landlord to spray? Maybe the house was born on an Ant graveyard and maybe those are Ant ghosts, I have heard they are even buggier!
I still find it hard to think that you are a doctor. I can still see you cruising in your big red trooper, at least I think it was a trooper. We should meet up for lunch if you guys come this way for the holidays.
That looks painful, and a little disgusting all at the same time! I'll remember to put the safety on next time I'm walking with a gun...
OW!! I have friend whose little boy found a needle in the carpet, it stuck up from the sole through to the top of his little foot. I am very careful with needles now. I'm sure Dr. Justin's patients are very thankful to him!
Sad for these people, but glad to hear there's folk around that will always keep your hubby employed!
Tell Justin, more pictures, my sports medicine class will love to hear this story!!!!!
I love the dialog leading up to the picture. So funny...and yes crazy that my brother is the one taking care of all of that!
