Pumpkins!

We went to a local pumpkin patch today! It was a small family farm that was nice and quiet with tons of perfect pumpkins.
Care Bear had the hardest time picking a pumpkin. Her requirements for a perfect pumpkin were 1) it couldn't be wet, 2) it couldn't be spiky anywhere, and 3) it couldn't be dirty. Plus she had to be able to carry it. I guess we should have taken her to Wal-Mart where she could have bought a clean dry pumpkin!
Jaco searched high and low for the biggest pumpkin in the field. I think he succeeded!
The farm had turkeys, sheep, chickens, and a horse. I have never seen white turkeys like these. If a turkey can be pretty, then I would have to say these gobblers are!

The kids were also able to pet this horse named Cassidy. Care Bear wouldn't go near it but that is no surprise!

I bought some dried cornstalks for decorating and it was a little tricky fitting them in the van. We had to put them on top of the kids seats. As we were leaving, Justin commented that there might be spiders in the stalks. Sure enough, a few minutes later, Jaco started screaming that there was a huge spider and La-La agreed. I felt bad but I had to laugh because there was not anything I could do until we stopped. I was really mean and took this picture. Sorry Jaco!

That is total terror on his face. I would have jumped from the van! Other than the spider, it looked like a great adventure. Cute Pictures. Your spider story reminds me of what happened to me on Saturday, I was doing a shoot on the farm and tried to move an old tool box and as I lifted, the top wasn't latched and out ran a mouse. Inside the box was a whole nest of mice. I ran out screaming, very embarrassing. If I even think about that pile of mice I shudder.

I asked Aiden to interpret this "email" he was typign to "Wissa." Here it is...

Dear Wissa,
Don't be angry. Don't be noisy. It's almost Halloween. I can't wait to see Cody. Now that's done. :)

Can you tell we're excited to visit you! Love the ticker on your blog!

Poor Jaco! I would have been terrified of the spider too! But it looks like you guys had a fun time. It must be nice to have so many chances to do so many family activities, long time coming, huh? Residency...oh I can wait for that!
