Animals!

I believe we have 3 of the best pets around! Especially our two kitties. Onyx and Aurora love to snuggle, are so patient with the kids, and have proved to be excellent mousers! Cody is even getting better about not peeing in the house!

Possessed!

Proof that the cats love to snuggle! You can find Princess Aurora sleeping soundly on the girl's bed every night. Onyx has to stay in the mud room with Cody at night because every time we let him stay in the house, he comes to my side of the bed between 3 and 4 am and meows until I let him out! When the kids don't feel good, they are comforted by the kitties.

No, this picture is not upside down! This is how I saw Aurora! LaLa insists on dressing her up and she patiently endures it.

In January, we were able to pet-sit a friend's dog while she had to spend a few days in the hospital. The kids LOVED little Poppy! He loves to be held and is the perfect size for little hands. The girls even made him a fort one night so he could sleep on their bed with them. I had to laugh because the cats were very afraid of the little fur ball. If they even heard his collar jangle, they would run the other way!

Cody is my walking buddy. He especially loves it when we go somewhere I can take his leash off and let him run. He has to know where I am at all times though. He will run up the trail away from me but every 20 seconds or so, he will stop and look behind him to make sure I am still there.

The cat's favorite watering hole is the fish bowl. I have to re-fill it on a regular basis because they drink it so fast. They also love to sit and watch Blueberry the Beta swim and they have tried to catch him but so far to no avail!

If I forget to re-fill the food bowl, Aurora takes matter in her own paws and eats straight from the food bag!

Thankfully Onyx only looks fierce in these pictures. He is the sweetest cat ever!

Because of Cody's habit of peeing in the house, he has to stay outside most of the time. I felt bad when it was really cold so I wrapped him up all snuggly in an old blanket. He actually stayed in it for quite awhile!

La-La's desire to dress things up does not stop at the cats. Poor Cody had some extra pizazz!

Cody LOVES to go on car rides! He was with just me one day so he decided he better play it safe and ride in a booster seat. Only problem, he forgot to wear his seat belt!
